HEALTH MINISTER CANCELS GALWAY ENGAGEMENTS

Minister for Health James Reilly has cancelled his public engagements in Galway today.

The Minister, who is currently embroiled in a political storm over primary care centre sites, had been scheduled to visit University Hospital Galway and NUI Galway at noon.

A spokesperson for the Minister Reilly was unable to give a reason for the cancellation when contacted by Galway Bay FM News this morning.

However, tomorrow the Minister is expected to fulfil his engagement to attend the 24th annual Irish Hospital Consultants Association conference at the Radisson Blu Hotel in the city.

He's due to give the opening address on clinical leadership and service improvement at 10am.
