Half a million euro for Galway Gaeltacht projects
Galway Bay fm newsroom - Funding has been approved for 11 Gaeltacht projects in Galway which have the potential to create up to 50 jobs.
Údarás na Gaeltachta has approved more than half a million euro for the Galway projects.The largest allocation of 90 thousand euro goes to Comharchumann Forbartha Árann Teo, while Comhar Caomhán Teo gets 88 thousand euro.A further 57 thousand euro has been allocated to Comharchumann Shailearna Teo and 54 thousand for Comharchumann Dhúiche Sheoigheach Teo.Both Comharchumann Mhic Dara Teo and Forbairt Chonamara Láir Teo will receive 52 thousand euro each.The funding was approved at an Údarás na Gaeltachta board meeting in An Cheathrú Rua.A further 1.6 million euro was approved for 30 public organisations throughout the Gaeltacht to support them in the implementation of their annual work plans.
