Grumpy Old Women visit the Town Hall

Date Published: {J}
Grumpy Old Women by Jenny Eclair and Judith Holder is a comedy designed to appeal to women of a certain age, who may fancy a live grump fest.
The play, which has broken all the box office records in the UK, now comes to Galway with an all Irish cast, fresh from a very successful run in the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin.
The show, which was specially rewritten for Ireland features Adèle King (Twink), Flo McSweeney and Una Crawford O’Brien. When these three furious females take to the stage the result is an orgy of middle-aged mayhem, 90 minutes of theatrical HRT – with not a thong in sight! The three women on the edge, braving it out on this tour of a nation on the edge, all previously starred in the smash hit, Menopause the Musical.
Scary enough on their own, the three women together are a force of nature treading the boards across the country.
The play which was described by London’s Evening Standard as “more uplifting than a reinforced Wonderbra” comes to the Town Hall Theatre from Monday, February 28 to Saturday, March 5.Booking is now open at the Town Hall Theatre on 091-569777 or on the web at www.tht.ie.
