GROWING DEMAND FOR VEC TRAINING IN GALWAY

Date Published: 28-Oct-2008

Demand is growing for Back to Education courses in Galway. County Galway Vocational Education Committee is reporting a major increase on enrollments for its Back to Education initiatives. But the added numbers are putting a strain on resources. The county VEC received 400 thousand euro in funding this year but members fear this won't be enough to run the initiative next year. The VEC is to write to the Department of Education to make a strong case for additional funding for the Initiative.
