GREYHOUND OWNERS AGREE RESOLUTION WITH COLLEGE ROAD STADIUM

Date Published: 09-Oct-2009
A resolution has been agreed in the long-running dispute between local greyhound owners and management at the Greyhound stadium. The West branch of the Greyhound Owners and Breeders Association has agreed not to protest at tonight's rugby match between Connacht and Olympus Madrid from Spain. The West branch of the Greyhound Owners and Breeders Association Spokesman Martin Fahy has told Galway Bay FM News that he's secured guarantees to ensure the race track will be cleared of any rubbish before the race starts at 8.30pm. The rugby match ends at 8pm, which gives stadium organisers half an hour to have the track ready for the greyhound race meeting. Martin Fahy also said the stadium management has guaranteed parking spaces for greyhound owners and trainers.
