GOVERNMENT URGED TO MAKE CREGMORE CROSS SAFE

Cregmore Cross must be made safe and more severe punishments need to be introduced for speed-limit offenders.

That's the message from parents and residents in Cregmore to the Government in the wake of last week's crash at the local school.

A letter has been sent to Minister for Education Mary Coughlan and Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey.

It highlights the urgent need for measures to be put in place to make the busy crossroads safe.
