The Government partners have clashed at local level over funding for the city council. Green councillor Niall O'Brolcháin is calling on the PD group on the city council as led by Cllr Declan McDonnell to publicly clarify why they drafted a motion preventing up to 30 million euro in residential levies being provided for the council. But speaking to Galway Bay FM News from a conference abroad, the PD Cllr Declan McDonnell hit back at Cllr O'Brolchain, claiming the managers predictions about the number of houses to be built in Galway over the next few years were unrealistic.
