GORT PLAYGROUND PLANS GATHER PACE

Date Published: 14-May-2012

The campaign to secure a playground for the town of Gort has cleared a vital hurdle.

A site has been secured on the Ennis road and planning permission has been established.

Since 2006, the voluntary Gort Playground Group Limited has been leading efforts to build a play area in the town.

However due to planning stipulations that the playground facility must include a car park and extra ancilliary work, a major fundraising drive is now underway to finalise the project.
