GLOBAL TV COMPANIES SIGN UP FOR IRONMAN GALWAY

Galway is set to be showcased on millions of television sets across the world.

Up to 20 TV companies have already signed up to cover the inaugural Iron Man multi sports event which will be held on the first weekend of September.

The event is expected to give a 25-million-euro boost to the local economy over the next five years.

Channel 4, Setanta Ireland, ESPN and Eurosport are just some of the broadcasters that will televise the event across the globe.
