GLOBAL FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPANY TO CREATE NEW JOBS IN GALWAY

Fidelity Investments is to create 200 new positions at its offices in Galway and Dublin.

The financial services company, which has its Galway base at Parkmore east business park in the city provides a diverse range of technology projects.

A spokesperson for the IDA was unable to say this morning how many jobs would be created in Galway, but said the majority of the 200 positions would be based in Dublin.

Fidelity Investments, which already employs 500 people here - is looking for a mix of professionals in technology, back office operations and enterprise services.

Last year, Fidelity hired 250 people - after an initial recruitment drive for 100 staff.
