GLENAMADDY MURDER ACCUSED TO APPEAR BEFORE TUAM COURT

A man accused of murdering a 22 year-old man in Glenamaddy before Christmas is to appear before Tuam District court before the end of the month. 45 year-old Patrick Doherty of Clooncun West, Glenamaddy appeared before Judge Geoffrey Browne at Harristown District Court today.Judge Geoffrey Browne ordered that the period of time given to Tuam Gardai to prepare a book of evidence against the accused be extended. He remanded Patrick Doherty in custody once again to appear before Tuam District Court on Tuesday the 24th of February at 10.30 am.
