GERALD BARRY TO BE SENTENCED FOR RAPE IN GALWAY ON FRIDAY

The city man who murdered Swiss teenager Manuela Riedo was granted bail at Galway District Court after raping a French student despite Garda objections at the time. 29-year-old Gerald Barry of Rosan Glass, Rahoon raped the 21 year old French student just 7 weeks before he killed Manuela Reido.The Central Criminal Court has heard that at the time of the murder, he was on bail on a charge of assaulting his partner.
