GARDAI SEEK INTERPOL ASSISTANCE IN BID TO IDENTIFY LETTERMULLEN BODY

Gardai are to seek assistance from Interpol as efforts to identify a body washed up on a Lettermullen beach last Thursday continue.

A search of the Irish missing persons list is now complete and has not yielded any results.

Gardai are still keeping an open mind as to the circumstances of the incident and post-mortem details are not being released at this stage for operational reasons.
