GARDAI REVIEW CCTV FOOTAGE OF SALTHILL POOL INCIDENT

Gardaí are reviewing CCTV footage following an incident at a swimming pool in Salthill yesterday which has left a young boy critically ill in hospital.
The 4 year old boy, whose family is from Galway, got into difficulty while swimming at the Leisureland Pool in Salthill at half past two yesterday afternoon.
A number of lifeguards came to the boy's aid and administered CPR until the ambulance crew arrived.
The boy was rushed to University Hospital Galway where he remains in a critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit this afternoon.
