City officials are working through the agenda at City Hall on College Road this evening, following a protest earlier.

A garda presence remains outside the Chamber and the main doors of City Hall have been locked.

The demonstration had been posted on Facebook by a group called "Fine Gael & Labour Out".

A similiar protest is underway at Fingal Council meeting in Dublin.

Councillors are now giving their reaction to a presentation on plans to revamp Ceannt Station, however Bus Eireann officials were unable to attend and it was delivered by Head of Galway Transportation Unit Joe Tansey.
