GARDAI NOT TREATING LOUGHREA FIRE AS SUSPICIOUS

Gardaí say they are not treating as suspicious a fire at a house in Loughrea that claimed the life of a woman in her seventies.
The fire broke out in the upstairs of the family home on the old Galway road shortly after midnight.
The woman's husband and their grandson, who were also in the house at the time, were taken to UHG where their condition has been described as 'critical but stable' this morning.
