Gort Gardaí are appealing to the drivers or occupants of two vehicles to come forward after a suspected hit and run in Ardrahan last evening.

A man in his 60s who was allegedly struck by a vehicle in the village has died in hospital.

The incident happened as the local man was walking close to the traffic lights at around 7.30pm.
