Garda Superintendent Marie Skehill is appealing to landlords in the Dangan area for assistance as the search for missing city resident David Gilligan continues.

Today marks the seventh day in the search for the 30 year old Roscommon native who was last seen walking towards Dangan Heights.

Since the man's disappearance last Tuesday May 22nd, over 100 volunteers from Galway and Roscommon have been combing the greater Dangan area from the University as far as Bushy Park.

Chief Superintendent Marie Skehill is now making an appeal to landlords in the Dangan and Newcastle area to check any properties that may now be vacant following the departure of many student occupants at the end of the college term.

A request has also been made to property owners in the area to check outhouses and sheds.
