GALWAYS VECS HAVE CASH RESERVES OF 10 MILLION

Galway's two VECs have just under 10 million euro between them in their bank accounts.

The breakdown of what the country's Vocational Education Committees have on deposit was provided in response to a Dail query by Fianna Fail's Education spokesman Charlie McConalogue.

County Galway VEC and city of Galway VEC have 4.7 million euro each on deposit according to today's Irish Independent.

The country's 33 VECs have approximately 212 million between them in the bank at any given time.
