Galway's local authorities are at loggerheads over a bill

Galway county council claims the city council owes it 450 thousand euro for shared services

However the city council shows a nil balance due to the county council at the end of 2011

The bill concerns services shared between the two councils including the library service and the fire service

City manager Joe O'Neill claims the costs were worked out on a relative basis some time ago but the county council is now disputing them
