GALWAY VECs TO MERGE WITH ROSCOMMON

Galway City and County Vocational Education Committees are to merge with County Roscommon VEC.

Minister for Education and Skills, Ruairí Quinn has announced the a revised reconfiguration of the VEC system today.

The number of VECs around the country will be reduced by 16 and legislation to bring about the changes is being prepared.
