GALWAY TD SAYS FINE LANDLORDS FOR ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR

A Galway TD says some landlords should be fined 'on the spot' for anti-social behaviour at their properties.

Derek Nolan says this sort of drastic action needs to be taken to ensure that a landlord is responsible for how tenants behave in a property.

The Labour TD says people come to him complaining about neighbours in rented properties who are making their lives a misery.

And while he acknowledges that with good landlords there is rarely a problem, he adds that some delinquent landlords don't care how their tenants behave towards their neighbours.
