GALWAY SURGERY RECEIVES FIFTH HIGHEST SICK CERT PAYOUT

A Galway medical practice received the fifth highest payout nationwide for issuing sick certs last year.
Today's Irish Independent reports that Turloughmore based medical firm, Brendan J Day, received over 65 thousand 600 euro from issuing certs in 2010.
The highest payment of 83 thousand euro was recorded in Dublin at Ballyowen Medical Centre in Lucan.
Other high earners include Holyhill surgery in Cork which is listed as having received 74 thousand euro.
