GALWAY STUDY ON GAY MEN'S SEXUALITY

Date Published: 27-Apr-2012

NUI in Galway is looking for men to take part in a study which aims to improve understanding of gay men's sexuality in Ireland.

Men aged 18 or over are asked to participate in the study, which is being conducted by the Centre for Research on Occupational and Life Stress, and The School of Psychology.

Researchers say no research has, to date, examined Irish gay men's experience of sexual difficulties.

Previous research in this area in other countries, has mostly focused on hetro-sexual men.

Leading Reseacher on the study, Lorraine McDonagh, says the study hopes to improve health promotion projects for sexual difficulties in gay men.
