Date Published: 24-Nov-2011
Galway students are to begin a demonstration in the city shortly [11.30] against any further fee increases and grant cuts in next month's budget.
Students from GMIT and NUI Galway will take part in the march where they'll call on Labour Deputy Derek Nolan to honour pre-election promises.
Students from GMIT will begin their demonstration from the Dublin Road campus in the next half an hour.
From there, they will march to the city centre where they will be joined by students from NUI Galway.
The protestors will then proceed to Labour Deputy Derek Nolan's office at New Docks where they will ask him to stand over pre-election promises.
