GALWAY SEPTIC TANK INSPECTIONS TO FOCUS ON AT RISK AREAS

Galway County Councillors have been told that there will not be any requirement to install new sewerage systems as a result of the septic tanks inspections.

98 inspections will be carried out throughout the county and the process will begin in July.

A meeting of the local authority last evening heard that the environmental protection agency has identified these areas as at risk of pollution.
