GALWAY SENATORS CLAIM ALMOST 80 THOUSAND EURO EXPENSES

Galway's two Senators claimed almost 80 thousand euro between them in expenses this year.The figures, revealed in the Sunday Independent newspaper, show that 60 Senators across the country shared a 3 million euro fund for travel expenses, phone bills and secretarial work.Fine Gael Senator, Oranmore-based, Fidelma Healy-Eames claimed expenses of more than 47 thousand euro up to the start of December this year.Meanwhile, PD Senator, Ciaran Cannon from Carrabane, claimed almost 32 thousand euro.
