A Galway Senator is calling on the City Council to carry out major works on the stretch of road between Roscam and the Coast Road.

Fine Gael Senator Fidelma Healy Eames says the road is in a terrible state and needs to be upgraded as it's an accident waiting to happen.

Senator Healy Eames has contacted the City Council but they informed her that there are no plans to carry out works on the road.
