A Galway Senator's delivering a petition to Ulster Bank to waive all customer charges until January next year.

It's in the wake of the technical problems that left as many as six-hundred-thousand customers with restricted access to their accounts and missing payments.

Senator Lorraine Higgins has managed to secure signatures of 80 of the 226 Oireachtas members on her petition.

She says she hopes Ulster Bank takes note.
