Meanwhile Galway Sinn Fein Senator Trevor O'Clochartaigh has accused the government of unfairly penalising gaeltacht schools.

He says two schools in Connemara, Scoil na hAirde Móire and Scoil an Tuairín, are set to lose teachers in September.
