GALWAY SEEK FOURTH FOOTBALL MANAGER IN FOUR YEARS

Date Published: 06-Aug-2011

GALWAY Senior Football manager Tomas O’Flatharta was axed last night by the football board and the search is on for a replacement.

The non-ratification of O’Flatharta for another season means he completes an unfortunate hat-trick for recent Galway senior football managers.

Following the departure of Joe Kernan and Liam Sammon in 2010 and 2009 respectively the Galway Senior Football team is now seeking to appoint it's fourth manager in four years

Ollie Turner, Head of Sport with Galway Bay Fm, who broke the news to football fans in a newsflash on the station last night, predicts that the next Galway manager will be a native of the county.
