Local lady Megan Cunniss took home the coveted Galway Races title last year.

The Newcastle woman followed the Ella & Jo advice of “bold and original” and said that being from Galway and winning the title of Best Dressed here “means so much to me”.

She wore a sleeveless white dress with black buttons which was paired with a black and white clutch bag from Mala Hire as well as black gloves and black and white stiletto heels, topping off the look with a Millinery By Mairéad hat.

Laura said “I’m delighted to have been a judge for Ladies Day this year, it’s such an honour. I’ve been going to the Galway Races for years growing up in Galway, so it feels really special to be part of it this year in a new way.

“There’s always such an amazing buzz around Ladies Day and the style is next level every year. All the looks, the creativity and the personality people bring. It was such a fun, glamorous day and I’m delighted I was a part of it.”

Michael Moloney, CEO of the Galway Races, added: “On behalf of everyone at Galway Races, a big thank you to all our judges today including Laura Fox.

“As a proud Galway native, it’s especially fitting to have Laura join us at Ballybrit, bringing a real sense of homegrown style and personality to the occasion. Ladies Day is always one of the highlights of race week, celebrating fashion, creativity, and confidence and Laura added something truly special.”
