GALWAY PENSIONER FOUND NOT GUILTY OF SEX ABUSE

A 69 year old Co. Galway pensioner who was charged with sexually abusing two of his neighbour’s children in the 1980’s, has been acquitted of all charges, following a four-day trial at Galway Circuit Criminal Court.The jury recommenced its deliberations at 10.30 this morning and this afternoon returned a “not guilty” verdict in respect of all charges.
