Two more Galway country markets have been awarded the Farmers Good Practice Standards by the Minister for Agriculture.
Minister Simon Coveney announced the award today to a further seven farmer's markets around the country, including Roundstone and Moycullen Country Markets.
The voluntary standards have already been awarded to just one other Galway farmers' market in Kinvara.
Traders awarded the Good Practice Stantard undertake to hold regular markets, stock about 50 per cent of local produce and promote food safety.
The Moycullen market is held every Friday from 1-7 pm, while the Roundstone market takes place every Sunday from 11am to 4pm in summer.
