GALWAY INSOLVENCIES INCREASE BY 26 PERCENT

There has been a 26 percent increase in the number of insolvencies in Galway.

During the first 11 months of the year, 77 companies have collapsed, compared to 61 in 2010.

The figures compiled by VisionNet-DOT-ie show that 60 liquatadions were recorded in Galway in the period.

A further 17 receiverships are reported in the county - an increase of 13 percent.
