GALWAY HOSPITAL GROUP TARGETS ABSENTEEISM RATES

The Galway and Roscommon University Hospital group says it's moving even closer to achieving the national target on staff absenteeism rates.

The rate across Galway University Hospitals, Portinucula hospital in Ballinasloe and Roscommon general has dropped from 5 point 16 % in January to 4 point 5% in June.

That's one percent off the HSE national target on absenteeism rates of 3 point 5 %.

So far this year at GUH, the average rate of absenteeism is 4 point 66 percent, while the most recent absenteeism rates for Portiuncula stand at 4 point 2 percent. Portiuncula.
