GALWAY HEALTH PROMOTION EXPERT CALLS FOR INVESTMENT IN TRAINING

A Galway-based expert in health promotion is calling for a significant investment in the training and education of the world's health promotion workforce.The Director of NUI Galway's Health Promotion Research Centre Professor Margaret Barry, was speaking today at a consensus meeting of international leaders in health promotion. Opening the meeting this morning, Professor Barry said Government investment in the global health promotion workforce is crucial to improving public health worldwide.
