Galway hauliers among group in dispute with Roadstone
Galway Bay fm newsroom - Hauliers are meeting with management at Roadstone Wood Limited this afternoon to resolve a dispute which involves hauliers in all of its locations, including Galway.
The dispute has arisen over haulage rates for sub-contract hauliers with Roadstone.The hauliers, based in Galway, Clare, Kerry, Cork and other locations claim they're operating below cost and can't sustain a slash in rates.Hauliers withdrew their services in Kerry 4 weeks ago and yesterday, similar action was taken in Cork and Clare.It's understood no action has been taken by hauliers in Galway yet.A meeting aimed at resolving the dispute is taking place this afternoon.
