GALWAY GRANTED 47 MILLION FOR SOCIAL HOUSING

Local authorities in Galway have been granted 47 million euro to invest in social housing. Galway County Council has been allocated 20 million euro, while the City Council receives 25 million euro for their social housing programmes. Ballinasloe Town Council has been granted 1.3 million also under the 2009 Social Housing Investment Programme. The funds were announced today by Minister for Housing and Local Services Michael Finneran.
