GALWAY GOVERNMENT TD LASHES DELAY IN FLOOD COMPENSATION
A Galway Government TD has hit out at the delay in paying compensation to homeowners, in the south and north of the county who were hit by flooding, almost five years ago.
Deputy Paul Connaughton says successive Governments have failed to sign off on funding for some families whose properties were hit by the floods.
The Galway East TD is working with a number of families who have not received funding, and others awaiting relocation, and he says the delays are unacceptable.
