GALWAY GARDAI ISSUE WARNING OVER ILLEGAL FIREWORKS

Extra Garda Patrols have been deployed in the city and county over the past few days in an effort to prevent the illegal use of fireworks over the Hallowe'en season.Over the bank holiday weekend there was an increased Garda presence, although no illegal fireworks were confiscated.Gardaí are advising people in Galway that the use and sale of fireworks is illegal and a fine of 10 thousand euro will be given to anyone found in possession of them.
