Hundreds of flood victims in Galway can now avail of further state assistance for funding.

Letters have been sent out to affected families giving details of how to apply for state help.

€10 million has been set aside by the Government to help flood-stricken families.

Over 180 Ballinasloe families have received emergency funding so far, with payments averaging €180.
