GALWAY DEVELOPER SETTLES HIGH COURT CASE AGAINST RIVAL

Date Published: 12-Mar-2008
A multi-million euro legal battle has been averted between a Galway developer and a rival firm over a four million euro planning pact. Talebury Properties, a company controlled by Gerry Barrett, took legal action against Meath company Parolen, over a pact not to object to planning permission for their respective shopping centres. The case was listed for the High Court this week and was expected to last three days after Parolen signalled it intended to defend the action. But the case was settled out of court before it came to a hearing.
