GALWAY DEPUTY SAYS HOMEOWNERS ARE BEING RIPPED OFF

People paying the second home tax are being ripped off by the Government, according to Galway West TD Padraic McCormack.

Those who paid the annual tax last October will have to renew it in March for 2010.

The annual charge for 2009 will in effect only last 3 months, says Deputy McCormack.

According to the Fine Gael TD, the Local Goverment Charges Bill was rushed through the Government and must now be amended.
