Galway WFC pay a big price for two late errors

Oh to be a fly on the wall in the Galway WFC dressing room after this Airtricity Women's National League game in Limerick as the visitors forfeited a two goal advantage in the closing minutes to drop two points against a side they had beaten 4-1 at home in April, and had hammered 6-0 in a preseason friendly back in March.
On top for the duration of the game and apparently coasting to the win, they were exposed twice at the back in quick succession and paid the ultimate price with the concession of two soft goals.
It also meant the dropping of two points, just like the last away game against Bohemians in Dalymount Park when another last-minute goal was given away, and the outcome on both occasions left the side having to settle for draws, when a win was almost in the bag.
The finish on Sunday must have driven Galway WFC manager Stephen Lally to frustration. His side has struggled to score goals, but hitting the net twice in an away game is a decent return, so to undo all that hard work with two defensive lapses will be tough to take.
When the sides met in Eamonn Deacy Park back in April, Galway WFC had the win wrapped up before the midway point in the first-half as a haul of four goals in six minutes left them 4-0 ahead with scarcely 18 minutes played.
