GALWAY AVIVA STAFF TO BE BRIEFED ON JOB LOSSES

Staff at the Galway branch of Avivia will be briefed this morning on plans for significant job losses at the company's Irish operations.
Management has asked employees at its Galway, Dublin and Cork offices to attend meetings from 10 o'clock.
Aviva employs over 200 people in its Knocknacarra call centre and branch in Eyre Square.
Unite trade union has also scheduled a meeting with staff at the Knocknaccara office at 5pm tomorrow.
