GALWAY AIRPORT TO RESUME OPERATIONS AS ASH CLOUD LIFTS

Galway airport is re-opening about now (8am) as volcanic ash from Iceland is drifting out of Irish airspace.

The Irish Aviation Authority says the ash cloud is moving south westwards and airport restrictions will be lifted according to its progress.
