GALWAY AIRPORT BOARD TO RENEW EFFORTS FOR FUNDING

The board of Galway airport will be going back to Government in an effort to secure its future.An airport strategy team, drawn from the company's board, management and Galway chamber of commerce as well as external consultants was formed in July.It's mission is to develop a plan for the airport in light of Government cuts that will help secure its future.As part of this they are exploring all evenues of generating revenue, but its understood they will be asking the Government for some form of income.The teams plan will be delivered to the board of Galway airport on August 30th.
