GAELTACHT MINISTER SAYS UDARAS ELECTIONS MAY BE POSTPONED

The Gaeltacht Minister Éamon Ó Cuív has given strong indications that an Údarás na Gaeltachta election scheduled for next year will be postponed.

Minister O' Cuív says it may not make much sense to hold an election in 2010 since a 20 year strategy for the Irish language is due out soon.

The strategy could have implications for the future role of Údarás na Gaeltachta according to Minister Ó Cuív.
