Further water restriction on Inis Oirr due to falling resevoir levels

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Further water restrictions are to be placed on Inis Oirr from tomorrow (21/08) due to falling resevoir levels. Last month, households were advised that water would be available from 8am to 8pm. Water will now be shut off from 6pm to 10am until further notice. On Inis Meain, water is on during the hours of 10am to 6pm. Water is being transported by ship to the islands from Rosaveal in an operation led by Galway County Council as an agent of Irish Water. The operation will continue until resevoir levels improve.
